The Team
All
members of our team are central to providing an enjoyable, safe and caring
environment for all our residents and as such the recruitment, training and
development of the team is paramount. Our staff provide 24/7 care with a minimum
of 2 staff on duty at any time.
The Team is led by Sally Mealing, our Manager, who holds the Registered Manager
Award in addition to being a qualified assessor and verifier for staff training.
Sally has been here over 16 years and as such has tremendous experience and
is highly respected both inside and outside The Home. Sally is ably supported
by Cherylyn Gibbs, our Deputy Manager, who also holds her Registered Manager
Award and is a qualified assessor for further training.
All
16 staff in our care team are the main point of contact day to day for all
our residents. Each member of staff has been chosen based on their abilities
to work with our residents in a supportive and sympathetic manner. Prior to
joining, all our staff are vetted through the Criminal Records Bureau and
a stringent reference process. Once each member is part of the team, the work
starts to provide the level of training to support them in their work as an
effective carer.
Outside our care team we have both housekeeping and maintenance who work tirelessly
to keep the home (and our residents!) looking good.
Whilst we encourage as much independence amongst our residents as possible,
our staff are always on hand to assist with all personal duties if required.
